Emerson talks about the work Danish architect, Jan Gehl, who “spent the last fifty years not only teaching his students…how to bring people together, but then instituting them.” For example, he helped close a portion of the city to cars so to increase people walking to shops. This then became the world’s longest shopping street called “Strøget.”
