A Trinity Poem/Prayer by Phu Luu. (References to John 3:16 as well).

Father God,
who is the parent of us all,
nurture us with your guidance
Feed us with your love
Gather us together as a mother hen
So we may become your family,
your presence in this world

Son of the God,
who has come to rule our hearts,
with justice and peace,
with restoration and mercy,
Bring us the friendship of your Kingdom
the expansive embrace of your reign

Spirit of the living God,
who stirs the waters of creation,
continue to move our hearts,
to encounter the life that is you,
waiting, 
eager life
that fills us full
and forms us,
bringing us back, again and again,
into the image 
that you created us to be

God, In your diversity and unity
help to make us one as you are one,
the one who dances in harmony with each other
who is self-giving, 
other-giving, 
who honors each other and loves each other,
continually reaching out into your world
to bring the world closer to you.

May this Spirit descend on us today.
