The “glue” of narrative dissolves when we fail to re-tell our stories within the community. These stories are ones that show that the dominant narrative of pharaoh and empire do not provide the happiness and safety that we see. They are the stories bound up in the Eucharist and Passover meal, where sacrifice and redemption are gifts to the community and not a commodity of data and facts.
