NT Wright on his calling.

  1. “I suspect that often we will only find out in retrospect how we have been used for the kingdom of God,” says Wright. Sometimes we are unaware that God maybe working through the seemingly insignificant things in our lives. How might this perspective help to see what is actually important in regards to what God wants to do in our lives?
  2. Other than being a husband and father and grandfather, Wright sees his main calling “is to study and teach the New Testament, and to bring the New Testament” to the church. This calling drives him to “get into Scripture and the most out of Scripture.” How can we pursue our calling in life? How will pursuing our calling help us be better people and Christians? We are not all called to study the Bible the same way as Wright, but how can we use resources from scholars like Wright in order to know God more fully?
