NT Wright on what brings him joy.

  1. To the question, “What gives you hope?,” Wright says “a large pot of tea” and the Bible. We can say Wright has a ritual, or better yet, a rhythm to his life that helps him connect deeply to God.
  2. How can we develop ritual and rhythms that could help us deepen our relationship to God?
  3. Wright quotes Northrop Frye, the Canadian literary theorist in saying, “It is isn’t that we’ve got it all together but God has it all together, and we get to be a part of that.” Wright sees his personal Bible study as an inclusion in God’s narrative. How might our daily reading of the Bible helpful in seeing ourselves as part of God’s story? How might this help us have a sense of togetherness?
