NT Wright on the Abundant Life.

  1. Wright cites John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy, I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly,” and says that in America, when we often talk about “abundance” we often mean “stuff.” But abundance, in this passage, is described in terms of “living water welling up.”  Despite our different personalities, how might we live lives of more abundance?
  2. Wright says God’s desire is for us to be “the true and unique person” God made us to be. Even though God might not allow us to do anything that we want to do, God will make us the person that God wants us to be. How can we live as the persons in whom God has called us to be? How will this kind of life lead to life that is abundant?
